Krabi

The entire province of Krabi includes 80 smaller islands, with Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta being the most well known. The province is home to some of Thailand’s most famous national parks and diving sites.

Where To Stay
Ao Nang is the main tourist beach area and can be the most expensive mainland area of Krabi Province. Krabi Town is an authentic Thai market town and is a much cheaper option, while being closer to the ports and bus stations. Railay Beach has a laid-back and hippy vibe to it, making it a great place to relax and meet people.

Things To Do

  • Ao Nang Beach
A beautiful and relaxing beach area with great views and a variety of shops, bars and restaurants.
  • Krabi Town
This busy little town is the capital of Krabi Province. There are plenty of great shops, bars and restaurants to check out in Krabi Town. At night, the backpacker community comes alive.
  • Tiger Cave Temple
The stairs that take you into Tiger Cave Temple can be a battle for some, as there are 1260 steps to the entrance! Once you reach the top, you have a beautiful view of Krabi and can be blessed by monks in the temple. The temple is home to hundreds of macaque monkeys that are very accustomed to humans. Beware of your belongings, and if you have any food (even unopened), the monkeys will smell it and steal it from you. Favorite items for the monkeys to steal: sunglasses and hats.
