Mykonos

Paraga Beach Pano

Mykonos is one of Greece’s most famous islands, located in the Cyclades family of islands. According to ancient Greek mythology, the bodies of giants killed by Hercules formed the island of Mykonos. The island has history, white-sand beaches, and a nonstop summer party atmosphere.

Where To Stay
The town of Mykonos is full of shops, restaurants, bars and clubs, making it the perfect location to stay while on the island. Mykonos’s unique shops line its narrow streets and offer gorgeous household items and textiles made from Greek designers. You cannot bring a car into town, so if you have rented one during your visit to Mykonos, you will have to find parking in one of the lots outside of the pedestrian area.
The island has many beaches to choose from such as Paraga Beach, Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beach. The beaches have many beachfront bars and restaurants and a 24/7 party scene. During the summertime, Mykonos is full of tourists, so if you are traveling during this time, it is wise to book your accommodations far in advance.

What To Do

  • Little Venice
Settled next to a set of windmills, Little Venice is the 18th century boardwalk section of the island. It is the perfect place to find a waterfront café to grab a bottle of wine, enjoy some Greek cheese and watch the sun disappear.
