Back when I was in college, I was forced to read this book and didn’t really absorb the significant meaning behind this story. After attending the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, I read the novel again. Hemingway now speaks to me – and I’m forever changed by his descriptions of Spain.

Although I don’t agree with the rankings in this book (everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion), I do agree with visiting the places mentioned in this book. I haven’t been to all 500, but they’re on my list. This is a great book to get travel inspiration from.
